Grenada Beaches
Beach lovers will absolutely remember Grenada beaches forever. The small islands jagged coastline offers scores of sandy stretches of Grenada beaches to enjoy. Grenada beaches have a wide range of looks. From the beautiful white sand (the result of powder-fine coral stone) to the volcanic black sand, Grenada beaches have it all. Sheltered coves have created some of the finest Grenada beaches along the southwest section of the island. These radiant white sand beaches are almost angelic in appearance, something to never forget! Of the most memorable Grenada beaches is Grand Anse. This two-mile stretch has calm waters and shaded palm areas. When it comes to popularity, Grenada beaches don’t get much better. If privacy is what you are after, Grenada beaches have this too. Head south of Grand Anse to Morne Rouge (a great snorkeling spot) where beaches are soft and sandy but people are fewer and far between. If true solitude is what you are after, Pearl Beach (Atlantic Coast and a bit rough) is one Grenada beach you will love! Grenada boasts some 80 miles of coastline, 65 bays and over 45 white sand beaches, many of which are located in secluded small coves. All of the beaches are public and the majority are on the Caribbean side, south of St. George’s in the Grand Anse and L’Anse aux Epines areas. Grand Anse is perhaps the loveliest beach on the island and offers 2 miles of gleaming sand lapped by gentle Caribbean waters while mature sea gape trees provide shady areas to escape the midday sun. Morne Rouge Beach forms a half-mile crescent and has a small café that serves light meals during the day. Grenada Boating: Grenada Deep-Sea Fishing: Grenada Snorkeling & Diving: |
